Programs - The Child Care CentreWe practice an open-door policy in accepting children 3-5 years of age. Staff Our staff are qualified preschool teachers who have completed the Early Childhood Education Program. Location Malaspina College Campus 900 Fifth Street Nanaimo, BC V9R 5S5 Phone 250-753-6931 Hours 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday Closed on all Statutory Holidays Lunch Children bring nutritious packed lunch. Two daily snacks provided. Transportation Parents provide own transportation. Clothing · playclothes recommend · extra change of clothes to be kept at the centre · a blanket for rest time Enrollment · parents are encouraged to visit and observe the program before enrolling · meet staff to discuss enrollment procedures · orientation of the child in the Child Care Centre should be gradual · parents are encouraged to stay with their children as long as this support is needed Training Centre Students in the College Early Childhood Education Program observe in the centre and serve their practicum periods as aides under the supervision of the staff.
